Letter To Volunteer Marshals

Thank you for volunteering to help Marshal at the Hotelympia 10k race, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Race Marshals are a critical part of our health and safety obligation and you will play a vital part in the success of the race.

The race starts at 9.30am, with runners reporting from 8.00am. Race Marshals need to arrive at ExCel at 7.30am. Go the main West entrance and enter the building up the steps. Immediately inside is a foyer area, before the main Boulevard of ExCel. Please wait on the left hand side where you will see a Marshals Assembly Point on your left.

High visibility jackets will be provided after which you will be briefed by the safety team and then assigned to a marshalling post.

When you get to Excel, there is a Coffee Shop, also on the left hand side, if you need refreshment. Cloakrooms are also available on this level.

Brunch and Goodie Bag
After the race you are warmly invited to the Post Race Brunch Party where there will be selection of delicious brunch goodies to tuck into after your efforts! You are also entitled to a goodie bag as a Marshal. The Post Race Party is scheduled from 10.30 –11.30 with the prize giving at 11.00am.
