Chip Timing
Great news - as a result of the fantastic support we have received from our sponsors, we are delighted to announce that this is now a chipped timed race - enabling faster, more accurate timing for all our runners.

You need to COLLECT YOUR CHIP and RACE NUMBER on the morning of the race - please allow plenty of time to do this and drop your bag at the baggage drop - in the Platinum Suite INSIDE ExCel - it will be clearly sign-posted on the day. Thank you to ExCel for providing the space for this and for the Post Race Brunch.

Race Warm Up Session
We are also delighted to tell you that we will have a race warm up session at the start holding area, from 09.00am to 09.20am. This will be take by Kate Roberts from sponsor Cadbury, who is a qualified and experienced aerobics instructor.

Pasta Party
If you are in the location the night before the race, then sign up for the pre-race Pasta Party, sponsored by Novotel and Barilla. This will take place from 8.00pm in the Novotel at Excel and all proceeds from the event will go to the Springboard Charity's work to help young unemployed and disadvantaged people improve their prospects in like and into worthwhile employment in hospitality, leisure and tourism.

Route
We are delighted to confirm that the route is once again taking runners from the start at ExCel to Canary Warf and back - providing a visual spectacle as well as a route for great times for the more competitive amongst you - see www.hotelympia10k.com/view-route for a link to download the map.

We Need Marshals!
For Health and Safety reasons, this year we have a greater need for volunteer race marshals. Please ask any friends or family to help. They will get a goodie bag and a great view - the only proviso is that they are over 18. This is a vital role for the race - no marshals, no race! Volunteers can sign up to be a marshal on the web site.
